1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to SuperNova and its websites, applications, marketplaces, communications services, payment-related features, professional and service-provider functionality, safety and emergency features, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). SuperNova is operated by Six Paths Corporation.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the Services you use, we may collect your name, username, email address, telephone number, address, date of birth where required, account and profile information, credentials, identity-verification information, business and professional information, service-provider information, communications, transaction and order information, uploaded documents and media, support requests, dispute information, and other information you voluntarily supply. Where identity or eligibility verification is required, we may collect identification documents and associated verification information.
3. Device, Technical and Usage Information
We may process technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, session information, access times, page and feature usage, diagnostics, security events, cookies, and similar technologies to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the Services.
4. Location Information
Where applicable, SuperNova may process location information for transportation, delivery, service-provider assignment, safety, emergency, tracking, and other location-dependent Services. Device or application permission will be requested where required. Disabling location permission may limit or prevent location-dependent functionality.
5. Communications
We may process communications between users, merchants, providers, professionals, agents, support personnel, and other authorized participants where necessary to deliver messages, provide support, address complaints, enforce policies, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users, or comply with law.
6. Payments and Transactions
SuperNova may process information relating to purchases, payments, refunds, escrow-related transactions, wallet functionality, payouts, commissions, tips, subscriptions, and other financial transactions. Authorized payment processors and financial-service providers may process payment information. We retain appropriate transactional information for accounting, reconciliation, disputes, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and operation of the Services.
7. Identity Verification and Fraud Prevention
We may process information to verify identity, authenticate accounts, investigate suspicious activity, prevent fraud, protect users and the platform, enforce restrictions, and satisfy applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
8. Safety and Emergency Features
SuperNova may provide safety functionality including monitoring, emergency alerts, panic functionality, location sharing, and related services. When a user activates an applicable safety service, relevant information may be transmitted to authorized or designated recipients as necessary to provide that service. SuperNova technology is not a replacement for police, fire, ambulance, 911, or other governmental emergency services.
9. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to operate, maintain, secure, personalize, and improve the Services; manage accounts; authenticate and verify users; process transactions; provide requested services and communications; deliver support; prevent fraud and security incidents; resolve disputes; enforce agreements; comply with law; and maintain appropriate records.
10. SMS and Mobile Messaging
SuperNova may send SMS messages for account and mobile-number verification and related verification activity when a user has provided the applicable mobile number and affirmatively consented to receive such messages. SMS consent is collected separately and is not a condition of purchase. Where SuperNova presents an SMS consent checkbox, it is not selected by default and requires affirmative action by the user. Message frequency varies based on verification activity. Message and data rates may apply. Users may reply STOP to opt out of applicable SMS messages and HELP for help. SuperNova does not use consent obtained for the account-verification SMS program as consent for unrelated marketing messages.
We do not share, sell, rent, or provide mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information may be disclosed to telecommunications providers and other service providers solely as necessary to deliver and operate messaging, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, or comply with applicable law. Such operational disclosure does not authorize those recipients to use SMS consent information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
11. When We May Disclose Information
We may disclose information to vendors, contractors, payment processors, communications providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, identity-verification providers, security providers, professional advisers, and other operational service providers where reasonably necessary to provide and protect the Services. We may also disclose information when legally required, for fraud or security investigations, to protect users or the platform, or in connection with legal claims. When a user deliberately engages another marketplace or service participant, we may disclose information reasonably necessary to facilitate that interaction. Notwithstanding these general disclosure provisions, the SMS-specific restrictions in Section 10 apply to mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and SMS consent information.
12. We Do Not Sell SMS Consent
SuperNova does not sell or transfer SMS consent to another business so that the other business can market to the user. Consent to SuperNova account-verification messages applies only to SuperNova’s disclosed messaging program and is not transferable as consent for another company’s messaging campaign.
13. Marketplace and User-Generated Information
Information you intentionally publish through stores, listings, advertisements, events, professional profiles, reviews, and other public or participant-facing areas may be visible to other users or the public. Consider the audience before publishing information.
14. Data Retention
We retain personal information for reasonable periods based on the purpose for which it was collected and legitimate operational, security, accounting, dispute, contractual, and legal requirements. Information may be retained longer where required by law or necessary for fraud or security investigations, legal holds, or legal claims.
15. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
16. User Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law and jurisdiction, users may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or other privacy rights. Some information may lawfully be retained despite a request, including where required for security, transactions, legal compliance, disputes, or legal claims. For applicable SMS messages, reply STOP to opt out.
17. Children’s Privacy
SuperNova is not intended for children who are legally incapable of independently consenting to the applicable Services, except where a specific service expressly supports minors with the legally required parent, guardian, or other authorization. SuperNova does not knowingly solicit children’s information contrary to applicable law.
18. International Users
Information may be processed or stored in jurisdictions other than the user’s own. Where applicable law requires specific safeguards or transfer mechanisms, we will use appropriate mechanisms for such processing or transfers.
19. Third-Party Services
Third-party integrations, websites, applications, payment services, communications services, mapping services, and other external services may operate under their own privacy policies and terms. Their practices are governed by their applicable policies, not this Privacy Policy.
20. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SuperNova, applicable law, regulation, or our information practices change. We will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice where applicable law requires it.
